In my research, I aim to leverage my dual education and familiarity with two distinct methodological traditions: psychology and animal ethology. My research scope spans topics from romantic relationships, which I study through a combination of social-psychological and ethological approaches focused on behavior observation, to communication, which interests me not only in terms of interpersonal relationships but also from an interspecies comparative perspective, and finally to cognitive abilities, where I focus exclusively on comparing humans with animals.
The main ongoing projects currently focus on communication and power dynamics in partnerships, the ontogeny of intergender relationships among women and girls, and individual recognition and communication in African grey parrots.
